My new life

I haven't blogged in a long time. I've wanted to however there had been many changes in my life and I felt that always something kept coming up. And it just wasn't happenening.
So first of all, the biggest change in my life is that now I'm a mom. Yes, I have a son! If I have you on facebook you probably know this since all I post now are photos of him. His name is Maxwell and he's 7 months! He's such a sweet baby and let us sleep all through the night since about his second month haha.  Now he's learning to crawl, loves music and so far loves eating banana and zucchini.
Eddie and I have been married for almost 12 yrs now and needless to say Maxwell is our little miracle baby.

Another big change in our life is that our chihuahua Chico is no longer with us. It's been almost a year since he ran away and I miss him everyday.

Having a child is a lot of work but oh so rewarding. Seeing that little face every morning is the best feeling in the world.

Photographing children

Photographing children can be a little bit challenging yet very rewarding knowing that you've recorded times that will always be there for you to enjoy.  I can see it specially in my nieces and nephews because I have been photographing them since they were born.  I posted many sessions of them and usually when I have an new idea I try it on them first.  At the same time I feel blessed to see how much they're growing through their photos.  I captured them as babies and some of them still are but some of them are growing too fast.   And as I've photographed my nieces and nephew many times, I also have many repeated clients.  I love seeing how their children are growing and I'm a able to capture that moment for them and their families to cherish for the rest of their lives.

My sister became a mom for the second time to a beautiful baby boy, Julian.

Mathew is going to be 4 yrs old.







































And Gracie is turning 2 this year.

Just a week ago, my friend had her baby who arrived two weeks early. Yesterday we had his first session and this is a sneak peek.

Baby Jayden - 2 months old

I met Jane last year when I photographed her family. I was so excited when she called me to photograph her new baby Jayden. Lately I haven't had the pleasure of photographing too many baby girls so it was nice to have this opportunity. She is so precious and was such a good model.

And this is Jayden's big brother. Although he had so much energy, we were able to get some shots of him too.

Baptisms...

I'm starting this week with a lot of goals to accomplish. We moved about 3 months ago and barely now is when I can finally focus on projects for the house. I'm in decoration mode and have been trying to go to stores like fabric stores or home depot that usually are not stores I frequent. One major project that Ed and I are going to be working on is our guest bathroom. I'm looking at color palettes and patterns and I'm so excited because I have it already designed in mind and I can't wait to see it all done. Another room I'm very excited in finally have it done is our master bedroom. I'm a little lost on what I want to do but I will post photos of it when I'm done.

Baby, Tango and Star Wars...

Last weekend I had a busy weekend with baptisms and engagement session in the snow. Very busy but also a lot of fun. I'm so excited about this year's weddings. Every wedding is so different from the next one and every detail makes them that much more special. I love when couples get so creative and brave to plan something fun like dancing the Tango as their first dance at Rebecca & Daniel's wedding or making their own unique video for their wedding reception at Rina and Sam's wedding (watch it here)

Baby Maddox and his family!

In about a month, my friend and I will be throwing another friend's baby shower. I was excited to help plan it because my friends and I have been best friends since high school. So having our friend pregnant is a very special moment for us and many more special moments to come with the arrival of the little one in only two months. I can't wait to see and photograph every stage of his life.

On another note, I had the pleasure of photographing two month old baby Maddox. He was such a sweet little boy who loved looking at the camera as long I kept clicking =) We had a session with Maddox and his family at the park as well.
